orientation week ♥

Haven't been caught online in a week. Been busy. I'd like to apologize and perhaps share with you guys about 'The Week of Orientation' where I had to wake up at 5.30am everyday to ride LRT from Wangsa Maju to IMU at Bukit Jalil. The first week was all about briefings. Normal classes starts on the 2nd week; so is orientation activities at night. That makes it rather hectic for us P109 (pharmacy students of Year 2009). We had to meet the rest of the members and do some of our tasks before having classes at 9am. Then, we had a lunch break which lasted for 45min where we ate our lunch and continued doing tasks for our signature hunt.

The various tasks included:

1. Chanting our group cheer

2. Dancing a banana song "peel, peel banana"

3. Making an A out of our hand prints

4. Write the word B-I-M-B-O on the cafeteria glass using our butts

5. Guessing and answering questions

6. Making cards and bookmarks

7. Singing songs

8. Dance to SpongeBob SquarePants

and many others which I might have forgotten at the moment.

Before I forget, I'd like to let you guys know that am from Group 6; Bimbo Chics which consisted of 9 of us plus an additional6 seniors. I have to say that the guys in our groups are multi-functional; they're good at being macho guys and bimbos.

Moving on, we attended classes during noon then rushed to prepare our props for the night's costume competition. I don't mean to brag but we're damn good at it. We can make costumes during the day and make it in time for wearing it at night.

Day 1 : Treasure Hunt

Ran across the park searching for clues and getting punished at stations with flour and garlic water, not forgetting chinese ink. Had to do various tasks which includes passing banana using mouth and kicking a ball 3-legged style. Our group was the last because we spent a lot of time trying to figure out a clue which leads us to the next place.

Day 2 : Happy Weird Family

I was the grandfather of the family being Gandolf from Lord of the Rings. I was totally white and even had powder on my hair. Our family consists of

Grandfather: Gandolf -me

Pet: Kungfu Panda - SookYee

Day 3 : Pharma Musical

Had to cook sausages early in the morning and sell our stuff during noon to earn for charity. At night, our group was dressed as characters from Star Wars. I was Queen Amidala. We had to dance as well. Our last minute preparation for thec ostume turned out to be a success. Then, we had to play mini games to win tokens in exchange for clues. We got the first that night.

Day 4: Detective Game

We had to run across the park again. This time, we got even dirty. We smelled even worse than the garbages at IMU as we were covered with mud, flour, eggs, garlic and chinese ink. Ew~ The games included carrying an egg on a spoon in our mouth and dropping it into a basket on a member's head (I dropped the egg without breaking it hehe), passing rubberbands on toothpics in our mouths, crawling across the grass and got scratches on our elbows and knees and others.

Day 5: Haloween Night

The finale. We had to sell our goods during lunch break again. In the end we got 1st for that. After class, the 9 of us rushed to make 15 sets of hats and wands. The Haloween Night was basically about performances by seniors and being awarded different prizes. I've only got some pictures for that night.
